On the 5th and the 6th of October, the United Way Running Team is one of the charitable partners at the Bucharest International Marathon, organized by the Bucharest Running Club Association
We invite you to join our United Way Running Team as a volunteer, runner, supporter and fundraiser to help our cause: provide access to education for children from underprivileged families.
This is how you can join us:
- As a runner (and fundraiser): register to one of the races on the official website: http://bucharest-marathon.com (and don’t forget to mention “United Way Running team” at the Club), then send us an email to cristina.haita@unitedway.ro to let us know you support us. We will welcome you in the team and provide you with all the necessary information. Attention: the places are limited by the organizers and the deadline for registering is the 23rd of September.
Access http://unitedway.galantom.ro/ and find out about the runners who chose to raise funds online and promote our cause.
- As a volunteer: if you are available between the 4th and the 6th of October, you can help us in the organizer’s team, at hydration points on race day, in the mobile hydration team (if you have a bike) or in the United Way team: to encourage runners, to take pictures and to cheer the United Way runners. Send us an email with your name and availability and we’ll give you all the relevant information.
You can also help us by spreading the word to your friends and family about the United Way Running team.
At the most recent running event, the Bucharest International Half-Marathon on the 19th of May, 36 runners and 15 volunteers joined the United Way Running Team; the funds raised provided support for 66 children, through daily help with their homework for a month. We thank all our supporters!
