The 2013 United Way Annual Awards Gala took place on May 16 at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Bucharest. Thanks to our generous sponsors, the expenses for this event were covered separately; therefore, as every year, all funds raised during this year will be directed towards helping the beneficiaries in the social projects supported by United Way in Romania.
We were honored by the presence of distinguished guests such as: H.E. Philippe Beaulne – Canadian Ambassador, members of senior management, leadership donors and campaign coordinators from United Way’s partner companies.
The Masters of Ceremony, Livia Graur and Alexandru Constantin have entertained the guests. The Gala started with the performance of a group of teenagers from Parada – they prepared a few juggling and acrobatics. Later in the evening, the tenor Vlad Mirita performed on the Gala’s stage, accompanied by live piano music.
The annual Gala Awards Dinner is the opportunity to thank our 2012 partners, in total 55 companies and 2800 individual donors. Thanks to their involvement, United Way positively changed the lives of over 6, 500 people in need. Their efforts were recognized through prizes and diplomas.
